Looking for a Portugal surf camp where you can meet other interesting people, who just so happen to be single? Our beginner-friendly surf camp in Portugal runs 4th to 8th of June and its built for meeting people in a way that feels natural: shared sessions in the ocean, beach BBQs, group dinners, and that end-of-day we all survived the waves energy over a beer at sunset…
We love our coupled up friends more than anything, but as a team mostly in our thirties, many of them are heading off on holidays which look amazing, but we’d love to meet other people at a similar life stage to us.
When we googled singles holidays, we were met with a wash of “SNOG FLIRT PARTY REPEAT!!!”, which wasn’t exactly the vibe we were looking for…
We wanted to find a trip that is:
– Annual leave friendly and a long weekend
– Somewhere easily accessible from the UK or Europe
– Had a fun social itinerary that’s a mixture of being active, drinks on the beach and exploring the city
– Ideally, everyone is single so we’d get a chance to meet some others in a low pressure, fun environment
We couldn’t find anything, so we designed surf camp!
4 days, in Portugal, with amazing, fun people who also happen to be single.
None of us can surf, but the instructors we’ve partnered with are used to teaching all abilities and we’ve already mentally decided that if we REALLY don’t get on with the sport, we’ll be adopting position of “beach” and watching from the sand lol x
100% of people who have booked so far have booked solo and the current age range is 26 to 44, with a range of people joining us from around the world.

thursday 4th of June – the welcome party
join us at the surfcamp from 4pm for group drinks, a live dj and a hosted bbq, the perfect way to meet the other
solo-travellers and settle in
friday 5th of June – surfs up & a surprise, haystack style…
start the day with a healthy breakfast before heading to the beach for your first surf lesson. grab lunch and freshen up…for the afternoon and early evening, we’ll all be heading out for a surprise, haystack style!
we really want to say what the surprise is… but surprising guests is our love language lol so we’re keeping things under wraps. could be something great, could be awful … only one way to find out x
saturday 6th of June – surfs up & local experience
start the day with a healthy breakfast before heading to the beach for your second surf lesson. grab lunch and take the afternoon to practice your surf, relax by the pool or wallow in the sea at the beach
then…we’ll be heading into Lisbon with some of our local friends to celebrate the legendary festas dos santos populares in the city. think: street parties, delicious market food and live music for a full immersion into portugese culture.
sunday 7th of June – sunday funday…
start the day with a healthy breakfast before heading to the beach for your first surf lesson. grab lunch from the camp and spend the afternoon either relaxing by the pool, practicing your surf or watching the pro’s…for the evening we’ll be throwing a beach party with a DJ, delicious food and drinks, all with a beautiful sunset view
monday 8th June – journey home
one final team breakfast, then check out is at 11am and the trip is officially finito
