Welcome to Missed connection Mondays!

What is it? This is the series we run after events, so if there was someone you liked but didn’t quite manage to get their contact info, we can try to connect you both. We update the blog on Mondays so keep an eye out….

How do I post one? You can fill out this form and after each event we will shout it out on here. If they then want to be connected and get in touch with us, we will share your contact info with them, however, we have some rules:

I think I’ve been shouted out! How do I connect? Please email the awesome Dillan at dillan@haystack-dating.com with the subject line “Missed Connection” & copy and paste the entry below that you believe is shouting you out into the email, and we will put you in touch 😊

Our big rule: No response is a response. If someone doesn’t come forward and give consent we cannot & will not try to contact them for you in any other way (we take safety and boundaries very seriously).

LAST UPDATED: MONDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER (the missed connections are posted in date order. after 1 month we delete the entry)

Glasgow – 3rd September

Keith (Yorkshire Lad) would like to connect with Short Haired Lass

About Short Haired Lass
Cheery lass with short dark hair, we walked in together and sat at the table before the games began. We didn’t get paired up in the groups, however I really enjoyed talking to you at the table with your very optimistic opinions and positive attitude.

About Keith (Yorkshire Lad)
I was the Yorkshire sounding guy with the open green shirt and shoulder length hair. We had a discussion on the questionnaire we had to fill out in advance of arriving, and how effective they would actually be. I’d like to talk about it further.

London Haystack x Happn – 30th August

About Hazel
I was the pestered vegetarian 😂

Manchester – 27th August

Rob would like to connect with Rachel

About Rachel
Group 7, short hair brunette, lab tech

About Rob
Group 12, bald, gaming nerd, Ironmouse jacket (that they recognised!)

Joel would like to connect with Mystery Person

About Mystery Person

You were wearing jeans, and a green T-shirt with an image of a bottle on the front. Your hair was brown and medium length. I think you said you were in group 2 but I could’ve misheard. I remember thinking you had strikingly dark eyes.

About Joel
I have long black hair, and I was wearing a green shirt. We had a conversation right before people split into groups, and talked about ADHD and working in hospitality. You said something about carrying plates and weak arms, which made me laugh.

Heather would like to connect with Rob

About Rob
You were in Team 5 with me and we made the best team in the Tossers game! You were wearing a dark blue shirt and we chatted away in our group most of the evening after a few games. You were also telling me a bit about your job and I’d be interested to know more about what you do.

About Heather
I have dark brown hair with a fringe, and was wearing a cream cardi and black jeans. I wear light coloured glasses too. I enjoyed sitting next to you on our ice breaker table and your words of encouragement during the games! You guessed that I was in Graphic Design during our chat.

Bola Beach Tennis – 12th August

Run to me would like to connect with Mystery Person

About Mystery Person
5’11, pretty funny and very popular. Also kept reminding everyone when the ball was in or out.

About Run to me
I promised I’d do this and I always keep my promises.

Yappy tennis/gym boy would like to connect with Mystery Person

About Mystery Person
Blonde gym girl in white working as a secondary school teacher who studied psychology at uni. Sees double and suffered on the courts but had such a lovely chat on the sidelines!

About Yappy tennis/gym boy
I’m the brown gym/tennis boy in all black that couldn’t stop yapping and kept going in the courts (regrettably in hindsight). Still can’t get over your impressive biceps and squat PR and would be so down for a gym date x

If you believe you’re mentioned above and would like to be connected, please email dillan@haystack-dating.com with the subject line “Missed Connection” & copy and paste the entry below that you believe is shouting you out into the email, and we will put you in touch x

Also, if you’ve been connected via missed connections, we’d absolutely love to hear how it’s going, it makes us so happy to hear your guys’ stories.
