Who Are Haystack?
Haystack is a dating events company on a mission to make dating fun again.
We believe meeting people in real life should feel exciting, relaxed and natural. Our events combine technology with genuine human connection. Before every event, guests complete a short compatibility questionnaire when they book their ticket. We then use our in-house Python matching algorithm to create groups of compatible singles before they arrive.
Our algorithm isn’t just designed around romantic compatibility, it also considers friendship, meaning guests leave having made all kinds of meaningful new connections.
Every event is completely unique. We partner with incredible venues and experiences across the UK, including:
- Arcade bars
- Boules lanes
- Rock climbing walls
- Live music venues
- Cocktail bars
- Activity venues
- And plenty more…
Alongside fantastic venues, we provide fun, light-hearted icebreakers designed to help conversations flow naturally from the moment guests arrive.

What Does a Haystack Rep Do?
Our Event Reps are the heart of every event.
Your number one priority is making every guest feel welcomed, included and excited to be there.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Welcoming guests as they arrive
- Checking guests in
- Making sure every single person is happy and thriving!
- Chatting with every guest throughout the evening
- Being a wingman if the guest would like it!
- Helping guests settle into their matched groups and find their areas
- Helping with setting up games/icebreakers
- Working alongside the venue team to make sure things run smoothly from start to finish
- Creating an atmosphere that’s warm, relaxed and fun
If someone walks into an event feeling nervous, you’ll be one of the people who helps them leave smiling.
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need previous events experience.
We’re much more interested in your personality.
You’ll probably be a great fit if you:
- Love meeting new people
- Are warm, friendly and approachable
- Enjoy making others feel comfortable
- Have great communication skills
- Stay calm under pressure
- Can confidently chat with anyone
- Are organised and reliable
- Enjoy hosting or entertaining
- Believe dating should be fun
- Want to help create unforgettable experiences
